Chester,
West Virginia, the hometown of Linda *&* Jeanie - The Hilltop
Singers - celebrated its 100th birthday on Saturday, September 9,
2000. They repainted "The World's Largest Teapot" and got the
town ready for its 100th birthday party. There was lots of outdoor
entertainment that day and the community enjoyed seeing a return of its
most famous daughters - Linda *&* Jeanie - The Hilltop Singers.
They
were featured in a parade in a red limo and were the headline
act on
stage for the evening. This millennium reunion of the duo was the high
note of a great weekend.
